Álvaro Ramos
Álvaro lives in Madrid with his partner and their dog Pomela (who secretly runs the household). He studied graphic design and multimedia at UDIT, where he now teaches art direction to the next generation of designers.
Álvaro was drawn to branding because it allowed him to connect multiple design worlds into one discipline. He loves to design with strategy at the core, making sure every creative decision ties back to a bigger purpose. He also brings a curiosity for emerging tools and digital innovation, blending future-thinking with a human-centered perspective. His goal is always to strike the balance between bold imagination and practical business impact.
Before joining Focus Lab, Álvaro worked at international branding consultancies on projects for clients across Europe and beyond. These experiences gave him a global perspective and the ability to quickly adapt to different industries, cultures, and team dynamics. He brings that same adaptability to every project, always looking for the balance between vision and viability.
When he’s not designing, Álvaro is usually tasting strange and wonderful specialty coffees, trying to keep his growing jungle of plants alive, or making music on his guitar. He also spends time at the pottery wheel, where his love of craft, precision, and getting his hands dirty balances the screen-based world of design.
Álvaro is always chasing what’s next … as long as there’s good coffee along the way.
