Charisse Bennett has provided management oversight for the planning, marketing, and logistical control for dozens of public and private events in Savannah, GA over the past several years. Key attributes include budget development and management, negotiating skills, and a keen ability to connect with various audiences.
She's an architect by training, with a BARCH from Oklahoma State and four years of professional experience designing high-rise towers and office complexes. Charisse completed a Master of Arts in Design for Sustainability and a Master of Fine Arts in Design Management at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in 2014. She combined her passion for community empowerment with her academic thesis work, as well as her involvement in volunteer opportunities, event support, and creative fundraising initiatives.
An avid supporter of numerous Savannah-based civic and charitable organizations, Charisse has served as a founding member, board member, or volunteer with the Metropolitan Savannah Rotary, Telluride Mountainfilm on Tour Savannah, USGBC-GA Savannah Emerging Professionals, Emergent Structures, Forsyth Farmers' Market, and the Savannah Bicycle Campaign.
