Nadine has always been drawn to stories — whether she’s writing them, reading them, teaching them, or helping organizations tell theirs more clearly.
After studying English at the University of Chicago and earning an MFA in fiction writing at Columbia, she built a career at the intersection of creativity and analysis: teaching writing and communications at a number of colleges (including Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania) while also shaping communications for startups, entrepreneurs, and mission-driven organizations.
She’s written literally hundreds of articles on innovation and entrepreneurship, with a focus on supporting underrepresented founders and companies doing genuine good in the world. Curiosity fuels her work, whether she’s exploring new technology, re-reading beloved novels, or experimenting with ways to make complex ideas resonate.
At home in Philadelphia, Nadine spends her time reading, baking, tending a very tiny garden, doing yoga (yin is her favorite), thrifting, and watching old movies. She lives with her husband, their brilliant teen daughter, and two hilarious cats — William, who’s missing a foot, and Lewis, a bobble-head cat who doesn’t let his imperfect cerebellum slow him down.
