Natalie Kent (she/her) is a leading champion of the creatives, innovators, and originals of the world.
As Creative Director of Focus Lab, a global B2B branding agency, Natalie brings a powerhouse combination of brand expertise and creative leadership. Raised just north of Houston, Natalie grew up with the quintessential Texan attitude of always thinking big, and to pursue fearless solutions that can change the world.
Growing up in a family that supported her creative endeavors had a critical influence on her decision to pursue a design career. Because of this, Natalie works to ensure teams are mentored, advocated for, and inspired in their work. At Focus Lab, she oversees four of five core delivery teams: strategy, writing, design, and brand support. She leads in the pursuit of inspiration, balancing creativity with logic and process, and seeking intention, sophistication, and innovation in branding. When it comes to leadership, she believes in fostering a balanced creative life to deliver world-class work whether that is setting realistic project goals to accomplish within a 40-hour workweek, or encouraging hobbies outside of work.
Natalie received her B.F.A. in graphic design from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to Focus Lab, Natalie spent seven years as a creative director of a boutique branding agency, leading multidisciplinary teams of brand strategists, designers, and developers and building B2B and B2C brands.
In addition, Natalie is an experienced public speaker presenting at conferences and brand launches including TEDxOKC, AIGA, Elevate Conference, Creative Mornings. During her time in Oklahoma City, she was recognized as one of the Top 10 Creatives in Oklahoma and as one of the 100 Amazing Women in Oklahoma City.
Natalie currently lives in Silverton, Oregon with her husband. An avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, she can be found indulging in the wilderness, whether it be backpacking in Denali National Park, skiing at Snowbird, or climbing the many Cascade range volcanoes in her backyard. She is passionate about science, sustainability, accessibility, and advocating for a more equitable world.
