Born in Jersey and raised in New Hampshire, Deanne is a New Englander through and through.
Once upon a time she had dreams of moving to a big city, but married a dairy farmer instead (so much for ever mooooving). It took no time for her to collect a menagerie of animals that followed her around, from 2,000-pound horses, 800-pound pigs (that didn’t like anyone else) and baby turkeys to the more mainstream dogs and cats and even an occasional pet rat (normal kids want hamsters, not hers!).
High school was boring, so she powered through in three years, jumping into the workforce to figure out what she wanted to be when she grew up. After some trial and error, she landed in a middle school teaching computer science. Between animals and teenagers, Deanne got very good at listening for the unspoken concern.
Once she started her own family, her remote working experience started too; from the days of AOL dial-up the online bug bit her. As online jobs grew, so did her experience. Working in chat rooms, social media, and analytics all led to project management, where she finally figured out what she wanted to be when she grew up. Deanne has 29 years of experience working online, with 18 of those years spent in a project management role. Timelines and organization come naturally to her (just don’t look at her desk).
When she’s not working, you’ll find her outside with her pet turkeys (Newfoundland not far behind), digging in the dirt with her grandson, possibly inspecting her bee hives, or maybe even kayaking on the river in her front yard with her husband. Outdoors and family are her happy places. Winter not so much; that’s the time to catch up on all the good video games.
